The Shape Tapes label was set up to provide a distribution outlet for Dallas, TX musicians Rick Fontaine and Paul Blanchard and their musical collective known as "The Shape" as well as other artists. It is not our goal to manage (or compensate) artists like a "major" label. Instead, ShapeTapes is a place to have your music professionally mastered and released, as well as an outlet to promote and sell your finished product; and a place to promote interest in bypassing the traditional notion of "making it" in the music business by empowering people to get their music out there in a legitimate, yet affordable fashion. ShapeTapes Productions is a Dallas, Texas based company, currently comprised of two songwriters/musicians/producers, Paul Blanchard and Rick Fontaine. We have a combined experience of over 30 years as professional musicians and recording enthusiasts and have played in bands and recorded as a duo since the early 90's.
Throughout the years, we've made music on our own terms and we feel that today we can offer up some of our experience and talent to assist songwriters and home recordists so that they can realize the full potential of their music.
